_FEDERAL INTERIOR MINISTER ASSURES CHINESE BUSINESS COMMUNITY OF ENHANCED SECURITY MEASURES_

Lahore, August 5: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with a delegation of Chinese business community representatives, led by Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren, to discuss security measures for Chinese citizens and projects in Pakistan.

The meeting focused on the protection of Chinese nationals and project staff, with the Chinese business community presenting proposals for enhanced security measures. Minister Naqvi assured the delegation that their recommendations would be considered and implemented wherever possible.

The meeting, which lasted for three hours, was also attended by high-ranking officials from federal and Punjab law enforcement agencies. Minister Naqvi emphasized that the security of Chinese citizens is a top priority and that every possible facility would be provided to them.

He also announced that online visa facilities for Chinese citizens would be available from August 14, making it easier for them to visit Pakistan. The minister assured the delegation that the SOPs for the security of Chinese citizens would be reviewed and improved.

Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren expressed hope that the meeting would yield positive results, acknowledging the excellent relations between Pakistan and China. The meeting was attended by a large number of Chinese business community members, particularly those operating in Punjab.
