Irrigation Department in Nasirabad on High Alert Amidst Monsoon Rains

Nasirabad, August 4: The Irrigation Department in Nasirabad Division has gone on high alert as monsoon rains have started. The department’s staff, along with heavy machinery, has been deployed at various locations to deal with emergency situations. All possible measures are being taken to ensure the safety of life and property.

So far, the situation is under control, and the department is closely monitoring the situation. The leaves of all Irrigation Department staff and officers have been cancelled, and their presence at their designated places has been made mandatory.

Provincial Minister for Irrigation Mir Muhammad Sadique Umrani and Provincial Secretary Hafiz Abdul Majid have directed the department to take all necessary measures in the best interest of the public. However, the department is facing a shortage of funds and machinery due to the emergency situation.

The Minister for Irrigation has expressed concern over the delay in the release of funds by the Finance Department and has appealed for an immediate release of the budget to address the drainage system’s needs.
