Islamabad Police Pay Tribute to Martyrs on Youm-e-Shuhada

Islamabad, August 4, The Islamabad Police paid tribute to the martyrs on Youm-e-Shuhada, saluting their sacrifices at the Police Lines. Secretary Interior, Khurram Agha, laid a floral wreath at the memorial, accompanied by DIG Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, DIG Security, Jawad Tariq, and other police officials.

The families of the martyrs were specially invited to the ceremony, where prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and the country’s security. A special ceremony was also held in honor of the police martyrs. Secretary Interior distributed gifts among the families of the martyrs.

August 4 is observed nationwide as a day to pay tribute to police martyrs. Secretary Interior Khurram Agha said that 62 officers of the Islamabad Police have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He added that the martyrs are our precious assets, and their invaluable sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Khurram Agha assured that every officer of the Islamabad Police stands with the families of the martyrs in every moment of joy and sorrow. He said that the martyrs have secured our future by sacrificing their present.
