JACOBABAD POLICE FOIL SMUGGLING ATTEMPT, SEIZE NON-CUSTOMS PAID GOODS WORTH LAKHS

Following strict instructions from SSP Jacobabad, Syed Salim Shah, to curb smuggling, Jacobabad police conducted a successful operation.

Acting on a tip-off, police checked a passenger coach (LRT-4742) near Pick-up Point No. 09 and seized non-customs paid goods worth lakhs of rupees. Two suspects, Nematullah s/o Samadullah Achakzai Pathan from Chaman, Balochistan, and Akhtar Muhammad s/o Peer Muhammad Pathan from Quetta, were arrested.

The seized goods include:

– 1080 kg of health hazard items (chaliyan)
– 12 UPS inverters
– 648 packets of Pan Parag gutka
– 164 packets of foreign platinum cigarettes

Legal action has been taken against the suspects. The successful operation was carried out by SHO Sadar Inspector Fida Hussain Sheikh and his team.
