QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that we realize that majority of the media persons including reporters and cameramen belong to the poor families and several journalists are martyred or injured. In this situation, their whole families suffer from numerous economic hardships.
The Governor was speaking to the Chairman Implementation Tribunal Tribunal for Newspapers Employees (ITNE), Shahid Mehmood Khokhar and senior journalist, Shahzada Zulfiqar, who called him on Tuesday.
The Governor said that we value all endeavours of the ITNE Tribunal for the protection of rights and life and property of the media persons besides their economic welfare.
He said that we are proud that the media persons associated with the public and private institutions are playing their role of bridge between government and masses besides keeping us aware of the ever changing world and creating sense of responsibilities and rights.
The Chairman of the Tribunal apprised the Governor about the demands and complains of the working media persons with the government institutions.
On this, the Governor assured to resolve the issues remaining within the law.
