PM Welcomes Upgrade in Pakistan’s Credit Rating

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the upgrade in Pakistan’s credit rating to ‘Triple C Plus’ by the international credit rating agency, Fitch. He commended the efforts of Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and the economic team for their hard work and dedication.

The Prime Minister said that the upgrade in Pakistan’s credit rating is a global recognition of the country’s correct economic policies. He added that the government is working day and night on the economic reform agenda and will ensure that the benefits of economic growth reach the people.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized that reports from Fitch and other international financial institutions are important indicators of Pakistan’s economic progress. He expressed hope that the new IMF program will further boost Pakistan’s economic growth and activities.

The Prime Minister also welcomed the State Bank’s decision to reduce interest rates by another 1%, calling it another sign of economic progress. He said that the government will continue to work with dedication and enthusiasm to further improve the economy.
