The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Larkana Composite Circle has arrested Munwar Ali Solangi, the former District Election Commissioner of Qamber Shahdadkot, on charges of misappropriating government funds worth Rs. 28 lakh.
Solangi was presented in the court of 4th Additional Sessions Judge Imtiaz Ali Shahani, where he was sent to jail on judicial remand. According to FIA officials, a case was filed against Solangi on July 15, and after a five-day investigation, he was arrested for embezzling funds released for training, conferences, and symposiums.
The FIA has accused Solangi of misusing his official position to embezzle government funds, and further investigation is underway. The court’s decision to send Solangi to jail on judicial remand indicates that the allegations against him are being taken seriously, and he will face trial for his alleged crimes.
