_ANF CONTINUES CRACKDOWN ON DRUG SMUGGLING, RECOVERS OVER 721 KG OF NARCOTICS IN 10 OPERATIONS. INDEPENDENT REPORT

Islamabad. July 25
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has continued its efforts to combat drug smuggling, recovering over 721 kilograms of narcotics in 10 operations across the country. The operations resulted in the arrest of 10 suspects.

The recovered narcotics include:

– 2.7 kg of ice from two parcels destined for Australia at a courier office in Karachi
– 668 grams of cocaine from a passenger arriving from Doha at Lahore Airport
– 5.5 kg of ice from a parcel bound for New Zealand at Lahore Airport’s cargo office
– 588 kg of charas from a suspect in Quetta
– 44.4 kg of charas and 27.6 kg of opium from a vehicle on the M1 motorway in Islamabad
– 36 kg of charas from a vehicle near Saharab Goth, Karachi
– 10 kg of opium and 1 kg of charas from two suspects near Al-Asif Square, Karachi
– 1 kg of weed and 3.3 kg of heroin from two operations in JC Pajpai, Balochistan
– 900 grams of opium from a suspect near a school in Ahmad Nagar, Faisalabad

Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations have been initiated.
