Monsoon plantation campaign begin in Peshawar Division ,in order and to prevent climate change and its negative effects, Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud started the campaign by planting saplings during Billion Tree Plus campaign in Commissioner House Peshawar, on the occasion , Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Captain Retired Sarmad Salim, Member Provincial Assembly Asif Khan Mehsud, Conservator Forest Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hazrat Mir, and District Forest Officer Forest Department Peshawar were also present during the monsoon season Billion Tree Plus plantation campaign in order to combat climate change. During this period, seven and a half lakh saplings will be planted in all the five districts of Peshawar Division, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mohmand Tribal District and Khyber District, for which special teams consisting of Deputy Commissioners and District Forest Officers have been formed. Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud said that in order to protect ourself from the negative impact of climate change, it is important that we must plant more and more trees and make the campaign a successful, in this regard special instructions have been issued to all deputy commissioners to make the campaign successful and complete this campaign successfully. I will monitor the campaign personally to make it a successful through out Peshawar Division.
