PROTESTS ERUPT IN SHIKARPUR AGAINST RISING CRIME RATE

Shikarpur, July 24: Hundreds of protesters, led by taxi drivers, blocked the Shikarpur-Larkana Indus Highway at the Kerthar Canal Bridge, demanding action against the rising crime rate in the district. The protesters chanted slogans against the administration, claiming that law and order had deteriorated, and citizens felt insecure.

According to details, the protesters gathered at the Gharhi Yaseen police station and marched towards the highway, blocking both sides of the road. The protesters claimed that the police had failed to control crime, and incidents of car theft were on the rise.

The protesters demanded that the authorities take immediate action to improve law and order in the district and ensure the safety of citizens. The protest caused a long queue of vehicles on both sides of the road, with traffic suspended indefinitely.
