Karachi (July 20): Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has announced that consuls general from various countries have offered jobs to children completing IT courses under the Governor’s Initiative. He expressed his commitment to making the province an IT hub and aims to transform Sindh into a model province for IT. Governor Tessori emphasized their goal of training one million youth as IT experts.

This he said while speaking at a ceremony held at the Governor House, which was attended by consuls general from various countries and members of the Entrepreneurs Organization Karachi, Governor Tessori stated, “The consuls general have pledged jobs in their respective countries for the children who would complete the IT courses under Governor’s initiative.

Entrepreneurs Organization President Yasmin Dadabhoy also addressed the event. Governor Tessori highlighted that the UAE Ambassador and Consul General, during their visit to the Governor House, promised to offer jobs to the trained IT professionals in their country. He reassured that children currently enrolled in IT courses are confident about their future prospects and have the potential to earn substantial monthly incomes.

Governor Tessori mentioned that Hyderabad’s mayor has granted permission for IT courses test, acknowledging the Governor’s initiative for this noble cause. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir for including IT sector in the SIFC project, which aims to remove obstacles in Pakistan’s trade volume and attract investments from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and other countries.

Governor Tessori announced the establishment of a cell at the Governor House to strengthen connections between businssmen and consuls general. He concluded by stressing the need for systemic and cultural changes to stand on Pakistan’s own feet, highlighting the potential billion-dollar annual revenue from the ongoing IT courses under the Governor’s Initiative.
