NATCO’s Performance Improves, Exits Losses

Gilgit-Baltistan:July 18 The Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO) has shown impressive performance and has exited losses. The administration has achieved the targets set by the board within the given timeframe. This was stated by Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Abrar Ahmed Mirza, while addressing the 131st Board of Directors meeting.

The board approved the formal approval for wheat transportation to Gilgit-Baltistan and emphasized the need for an effective strategy for timely supply and transparency. The board directed that legal requirements be fulfilled for the purchase of new vehicles. Additionally, the board approved the experimental run of public transport in the city.

The Board of Directors expressed satisfaction that NATCO has earned a profit of Rs. 30 million annually. If this performance continues, NATCO will become a stable organization in the future.
