In a heartwarming reunion, two missing children, Muhammad Huzaifa and Ahmed Umair Abid, have been safely recovered at Islamabad Airport from Bishkek, thanks to a groundbreaking operation made possible by the newly integrated INTERPOL system with the Integrated Border Management Information System (IBMIS).

The children, who were reported missing in 2022, were traced and recovered through a seamless collaboration between INTERPOL Islamabad and FIA Immigration Islamabad. The newly implemented INTERPOL Find System, which connects the immigration database with INTERPOL’s global database, played a crucial role in this successful operation.

The Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Ahmad Ishaque Jahangir, commended the team of INTERPOL and Immigration at Islamabad Airport for their exemplary performance, marking a significant achievement in the agency’s efforts to combat child trafficking and ensure the safety of Pakistani citizens.
