Triage Unit established in Trauma Center of SPHHQ:

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister Health, Sardarzada Faisal Jamali inaugurated the Triage Unit established in the Trauma Center of the Sandeman Provincial Headquarter Hospital here on Monday.
Also present on the occasion were the Managing Director Trauma Center, Dr. Arbab Muhammad Kamran, Director General Health Services, Dr. Farooq Hoth, Medical Superintendent of Sandeman Provincial Headquarter Hospital, Dr. Ishaq Panezai, Medical Superintendent of Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, Dr. Amin Mandokhail, Dean Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), Dr. Naseebullah Zarkoon, Chief Surgeon Trauma Center, Iqbal Jaffar, Deputy Director Traumar Center, Dr. Humaira, besides other concerned.
The MD Trauma Center briefed the Provincial Minister Health about the newly established Triage Unit saying it is consisted of eight beds.
He informed that the immediate medical assistance would be provided to the critically injured persons during traffic accidents and other emergency patients in the Triage Unit.
He said that with establishment of the new Unit in Trauma Center, the waiting time would be reduced in the emergency department to great extent.
The Minister Health went round of different sections of the Triage Unit and Trauma Center.
He also met the patients being treated there and inquired about their health.
The Minister also appreciated overall functioning of the Trauma Center and said that services being extended at the center to the emergency patients are appreciable.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardarzada Faisal Jamali said that steps are being taken to meet shortage of the medical machinery and medicines in the hospitals of the province.
