Muharram mourning processions & gatherings:

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has categorically stated that any negligence and incompetency would not be tolerated with regard to the safety arrangements made and being made for the mourning processions and gatherings in the province including Quetta.
In an official statement issued here on Monday, the Governor stressed that there is a dire need to make effective and strong coordination among all the law enforcement agencies for the sake of complete protection of life and property of the masses during the Muharramul Haram as it is responsibility of the government to do so.
He directed to the concerned quarters to make strict arrangements for security of all the places especially the sensitive ones and worship places in view of the present sensitivity.
In addition to this, there is also need to make effective coordination with organizers of the mourning processions and gatherings.
The Governor also urged the government and general public to keep strict vigil on the suspected persons around the processions and gatherings besides the religious places, and thus play their effective role to ensure peaceful situation in the province.
Similarly, it is duty of every conscious people to extend wholehearted cooperation to the government and concerned institutions.
The Governor believed that the Ashura Muharram would end peacefully because of the foolproof security arrangements made by the local administration and other security institutions.
