According to details, on July 14, 2024, Assistant Commissioner Duki, Zahoor Ahmed Baloch, made a surprise visit to the market. He was accompanied by Deputy Tehsildar Duki, Bilal Ahmed, Chief Officer Municipal Committee, Samandar Khan Nasser, ASI Police, Abdul Qadir Kakar, District Officer (Food Safety Supervisor) Bakht Muhammad Nasser, and Levies personnel.
They took strict action against shopkeepers selling expired and substandard food items, imposing fines on the spot. They also warned that no one would be allowed to sell harmful food or spread diseases. Further legal action would be taken against shopkeepers who fail to comply with official price lists, maintain poor hygiene, and engage in artificial price hikes. Moreover, non-standard cold drink bottles would not be allowed in any shop, hotel, or bakery.
