Muzaffarabad: A three-member delegation of Central Bar Association Muzaffarabad (CBA) called on Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Haq here today.

Led by its president Nasir Masood Mughal Advocate, the delegation was comprised of members of the CBA including Waqar Farooq Abbasi Advocate and Hamad Mushtaq Advocate.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister Haq sought legal fraternity’s support and cooperation to strengthen the governance system that prioritize the citizens’ well-being.

Describing lawyers as the most conscious and knowledgeable section of society, he said, lawyers’ community can play an important role in dispensation of justice to people.

The PM said that serving ordinary citizens of the state and providing them a dignified livelihood was his sole mission and he would carry forward this mission.
He said that an endowment fund has been established to provide financial assistance to the poor and economically downtrodden sections of society.

He said that 5 billion rupee package has been proposed for the elimination of unemployment. ” Under this scheme, interest-free loans will be given to skilled men and women so that they can be able to start their business”, the PM said, adding that a fund worth one billion rupees has also been established to provide scholarships to those students who were unable to continue their studies due to their financial constraints.

On this occasion the CBA delegation invited the Prime Minister to visit the Central Bar, which he accepted.
