University of Bhimber Establishes Scouts Club

Bhimber,(independent desk) July 11, 2024: In line with the vision of Prime Minister of Azad Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, a ceremony was held at the University of Bhimber to establish a Scouts Club. The club was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor University of Bhimber, Brigadier (R) Professor Dr. Younis Javed, under the supervision of Registrar University Dr. Abid Hussain.

The chief guests of the ceremony were Commissioner Rawalpindi and focal person of Scouts Club, Chaudhry Zahid Alam. A large number of students participated in the ceremony, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Muhammad Anas and Naat by Qaiser.

Chaudhry Zahid Alam threw light on the history of Scouts organizations and their establishment. He informed the participants that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was also a Scout Chief, and since then, the President of Pakistan has been the Chief Scout. He said that many successful Scouts have been sent on foreign tours by the government of Pakistan.

The purpose of the Scouts Club is to serve humanity voluntarily. Dr. Ejaz was appointed as the Group Leader of Scouts Club YOBI Chapter. Students and faculty members expressed their determination to join the Scouts Club and serve humanity.

The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks to the honorable guests. Dr. Abid Hussain, Registrar University of Bhimber, was presented with a shield in recognition of his services. The students and faculty members who participated in the ceremony were grateful to the Prime Minister of Azad Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, Minister of Education, Dewan Ali Chughtai, and Vice Chancellor University of Bhimber, Brigadier (R) Professor Dr. Younis Javed, for providing a platform to showcase their talents.”
