The Balochistan government has taken steps to improve birth registration in the province. A meeting was held on July 5, 2024, chaired by Secretary Local Government Abdul Rahim Baloch, to discuss the implementation of an online registration system.
– Deadline for normal birth registration increased from 60 days to one year
– Fee for registration set at Rs. 100
– Online registration system available in 515 union councils out of 1043 in Balochistan
– Meeting attended by officials from Local Government, Health, Education, and NADRA departments, as well as UNICEF representatives.
