CM, tribal chieftains, elders & dignitaries participate: Senator Arbab Umar Farooq assumes responsibilities of chieftain of Kasis

QUETTA: The eldest son of late Nawab Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi, Senator Arbab Umar Farooq Kasi assumed the responsibilities of new Nawab (chieftain) of Kasi tribe here at a grand dastar bandi (turban wearing) ceremony held at the Arbab House here on Thursday.
The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti as well as the tribal chieftains, elders and other dignitaries from different walks of life were in attendance at the dastar bandi ceremony.
Prominent among them were the representative of Chief of Sarawan, Nawab Aslam Raisani, Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Prince Musa Jan, former Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, besides others.
The Chief Minister and other tribal elders and dignitaries wore the turban to new Nawab of Kasis, Arbab Umar Farooq Khan Kasi.
They also congratulated and extended best wishes to Arbab Umar Farooq Kasi on becoming new Nawab of the tribe.
Addressing the ceremony, the new Nawab of Kasis, Arbab Umar Farooq Kasi thanked all those participated in the dastar bandi ceremony.
He said that it is the day of our tribal traditions and customs, and adding vowed to continue journey of brotherhood in his tribe.
He said that the tribal system of Balochistan is the most effective and workable. However, the aliens are bent upon harming the tribal system.
He said that the basic objective behind abolishing the tribal system in Balochistan is to create situation of civil war.
