Islamia College University’s Financial Health Addressed in Senate Meeting.

Peshawar – Provincial Minister for Higher Education and Pro-Chancellor Meena Khan Afridi chaired the Senate meeting regarding the annual budget of Islamia College University Peshawar.

The meeting was attended by members of the Senate, along with officers of the Finance, Higher Education and Establishment Departments.

In the meeting, Islamia College University budget 2023-24 was reviewed, while the provincial minister was briefed also on budget 2024-25.

In the briefing, the provincial minister was informed in details about Islamia College University properties, student fees, rent of shops and buildings, cricket coaching academy and other sources of income of the college.

The provincial minister was also briefed on the grant and aid received by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan Islamabad, while the salary, non-salary and pension of the university staff were also discussed.

The provincial minister conditionally approved the budget of the university for the year 2024-25 of Rs.2209 Millions.

He said that universities facing financial crisis will be brought out of financial difficulties very soon and put them on their feet.
