QUETTA: The Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Department, Wali Muhammad Noorzai has underlined the need to start jehad to save the coming generations from curse of narcotics in the society.
He stressed that curse of narcotics is poisonous for the whole society, and as such we have to make collective efforts for saving our youth from the devastations caused due to narcotics.
He said that the provincial government is taking steps on an emergent basic for prevention of narcotics under leadership of the Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti.
He said that the separate drug rehabilitation centers would be established for treatment and rehabilitation of the drug addicts in the province.
The Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Department was addressing the walk organized to mark the International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking here in the metropolis on Wednesday.
The Director General Anti Narcotics Force, other high ups of the ANF and Social Welfare Department as well as the representatives of civil society participated in the awareness walk.
The Parliamentary Secretary, Director General ANF and other participants stressed the need to make collective efforts for wiping out the curse of narcotics from the society.
Meanwhile, an awareness rally was also taken out by the Excise and Taxation department in the metropolis.
The Secretary Excise and Taxation, Syed Zafar Bokhari as well as other high ups and civil society representatives participated in the rally.
