MoCC, Cambridge University Press & Assessment to collaborate on climate initiatives.

Islamabad,   : PM’s Coordinator on Climate Change & Environmental Coordination Romina Khurshid Alam held meeting with Cambridge International’s Country Director for Pakistan Ms. Uzma Yusuf today at her office to discuss collaboration on climate initiatives.

It was agreed that Cambridge University Press & Assessment would collaborate on developing climate curriculum and would also advise the ministry on climate related funds and resources.

PM’s Coordinator has underscored that climate change education helps people understand and address the impacts of climate crisis. Empowering the youth with climate knowledge, skills, values and attitude is direly needed to address the climate related issues, PM’S Coordinator added.

PM’S Coordinator has stated that the UN framework Convention on climate change, the Paris Agreement & the Associated Action for Climate empowerment (ACE) agenda call on governments to educate, empower and engage all stakeholders on climate change.

The both sides also exchanged views on conducting essays competitions in Cambridge, Public and Private schools across the country. PM’S Coordinator expressed her gratitude to Cambridge University Press & Assessment for their cooperation.
