Federal Govt. taking steps for reduction of poverty in Balochistan, says Chairperson BISP

QUETTA: The Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Ms. Rubina Khalid has stated that the federal government is taking steps to alleviate poverty in Balochistan.
For the purpose, the BISP provides necessary economic support to the women of province.
These views were expressed by the Chairperson BISP while presiding over the meeting of stakeholders for cooperation and implementation of the BISP initiatives in the province on Tuesday.
The meeting was participated by the Secretary Information Technology, Ayaz Khan Mandokhail, Secretary Industries, Noor Ahmed Pirkani, Secretary Colleges, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir, Director General BISP, Abdul Jabbar and other concerned high ups.
The Chairperson BISP said that she is visiting Balochistan on directives of the President Asif Ali Zardari, who has directed to pay special attention on the province.
This speaks high about the interest of President of Pakistan in the province, she added.
Mrs. Rubina Khalid said that the professional training programme would be started by imparting training to the men and women of the province.
She announced that implementation on the programme would be started very soon.
She on the occasion underlined the need to improve the skills programme for reducing poverty.
She said that steps would have to be taken for bringing improvement livestock and healthcare sectors besides the handicrafts and packing of different goods.
Besides, we also have to go to quality training just because the world is in need of the skilled persons, he added.
Earlier the meeting was informed about implementation on the programme regarding health and education sectors.
It was also mentioned that social protection is also being provided to all the deserving persons of province under the BISP.
