Retirement Announcements of Senior Police Officers.

ISLAMABAD- The Government of Pakistan has officially announced the retirement of several high-ranking officers from the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). The notifications, issued by the Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division, detail the retirement dates and current positions of the officers, who will be stepping down upon reaching the age of superannuation. Allah Dino Khawaja, a BS-22 officer currently serving as Secretary, Human Rights Division, will retire on April 23, 2025. Mr. Khawaja has had a distinguished career in public service, culminating in his leadership role within the Human Rights Division. Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar, also a BS-22 officer, currently posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Establishment Division, is set to retire on March 3, 2025. Mr. Mahar’s career has spanned various critical roles within the police service. Faisal Shahkar, a BS-22 officer serving as the United Nations Police Advisor (D-2) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, will retire on December 29, 2024. Mr. Shahkar has represented Pakistan on an international platform, contributing to global policing standards. Sanaullah Abbasi, another BS-22 officer currently designated as OSD in the Establishment Division, will retire on October 19, 2024. Mr. Abbasi has been instrumental in various police operations and administrative reforms. Mahmoud Alam Mahsud, a BS-22 officer serving as a Member of the Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC), will retire on June 5, 2025. Mr. Mahsud’s tenure at PMIC has been marked by significant contributions to the oversight and evaluation of government projects. Salah-ud-Din Khan, Commandant of the National Police Academy (NPA) under the Interior Division, will retire on January 6, 2025. His leadership at NPA has been pivotal in training and preparing future generations of police officers. Sardar Ali Khan, Inspector General of Pakistan Railways Police under the Ministry of Railways, will retire on February 20, 2025. Mr. Khan’s efforts have been vital in ensuring the security and efficiency of railway operations. Ghulam Rasul Zahid, a BS-21 officer serving in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Division, will retire on September 30, 2024. His contributions to intelligence and national security have been noteworthy throughout his career. Sabir Ahmad- BS-21 officer, Managing Director, National Police Foundation (NPF), retiring on December 24, 2024. Fit. Lt. (Rtd) Muhammad Khalid Khattak – BS-21 officer, National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), retiring on December 14, 2024. Nazeer Ahmed Kurd- BS-19 officer, Government of Balochistan, retiring on October 30, 2024. Mohibullah Khan Mandokhail – BS-19 officer, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), retiring on September 30, 2024. Abdul Qayyum- BS-18 officer, Government of Punjab, retiring on June 1, 2025. Muhammad Ayub Achakzai – BS-18 officer, Government of Balochistan, retiring on May 19, 2025. Faisal Gulzar Awan – BS-18 officer, Government of Punjab, retiring on April 14, 2025. Zafar Abbas- BS-18 officer, Government of Punjab, retiring on May 24, 2025. Zaheer Arshad- BS-18 officer, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, retiring on March 31, 2025. Abdul Hayee- BS-18 officer, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, retiring on March 31, 2025. Muhammad Ashfaq- BS-19 officer, serving in an undisclosed capacity.
