Media persons ends boycott of coverage of BA session: CM constitutes committee for talks with media persons over issue of lockdown of QPC

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti formed a committee to hold talks with the protesting media persons on the issue of lockdown of Quetta Press Club.
The committee comprised the provincial Minister Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi and Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani and members of provincial assembly, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch and Mir Zabid Reki.
Meanwhile, the government committee held talks with the media persons outside the provincial assembly.
The members of committee condemned the incident of lockdown of Quetta press club by local administration.
They said that there’s an important role of media persons in highlighting the issues of Balochistan.
They assured that the action would be taken against those responsible for lockdown of the Quetta Press Club.
Afterwards, the media persons ended their protest and boycott of the proceedings of assembly.
Earlier, they had walked out of the media gallery of assembly as a mark of protest against the lockdown of press club.
It may be mentioned here that the local administration along with police had locked the main gate of Quetta Press Club on Saturday last.
