BA adopts resolutions about installation of LPG plants & preparation of Health Dept.’s budget as per NFC Award

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly adopted resolutions about installation of LPG Plants in districts of the province, which are lacking the facility of natural gas.
The Provincial Assembly also adopted the resolution which demand steps for preparing the budget of Health department according to the NFC Award.
The resolutions were adopted in the sitting of Provincial Assembly held with Speaker Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai in the chair on Monday.
The resolution regarding installation of the LPG plants in the districts which are deprived of the facility of natural gas was presented by the Opposition member, Mir Asadullah Baloch in last sitting of provincial assembly.
The resolution was adopted after debate on it.
Similarly, the resolution demanding steps for preparation of the Health department budget as per the allocations of NFC Award was tabled by the Opposition member, Khair Jan Baloch.
It was pointed out that in the resolution that the Health sector is deteriorated for long in the province mainly because of shortage of funds.
Through the resolution, it was demanded of the authorities to allocate funds for provision of medicines in all hospitals of the province.
The MPA Mir Rehmat Baloch supporting the resolution stressed the need to allocate maximum funds for the Health department.
MPA Ghulam Dastagir Badini also stressed that life saving drugs should be made available in the emergency departments of all hospitals.
Speaking on the resolution, the Provincial Minister Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said that the Health department is not running well in the province.
However, performance of the Health department can be improved by resolving the issues being faced by it, he added.
He also stressed the need to take basic and concrete steps in the Health department.
Meanwhile, another resolution tabled by the member of provincial assembly, Mir Zabid Reki was disposed of on assurance of the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti for implementation on it.
The resolution demanded of the House to approach federal government for mettling of the Kharan-Basima road after including in the National Highway Authority.
Later, the session was adjourned till 11:00 AM on May 23, 2024.
