We can easily put our universities on path of self-sufficiency by adopting modern means, says Governor

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has believed that we can easily put our universities on path of self-sufficiency by adopting modern means and mechanism instead of traditional procedures to settle their financial and administrative matters.
The Governor stressed the need to prepare a comprehensive policy to save all the public sector universities from the financial crisis in future and ensure timely payment of the salaries to their teachers and employees.
In this regard, the incumbent federal and provincial governments would also be taken into conference.
These views were expressed by the Governor while speaking to the Provincial Minister for Education, Ms Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Vice Chancellors of different public sector universities of the province including Professor Dr Dost Muhammad Baloch, Dr Abdul Malik Tareen and Dr Jan Muhammad Baloch who called on him separately here on Friday.
During the course of meetings, the Governor said that it is our personal interest and conscious effort to promote healthy academic environment in all higher educational institutions of the province.
He made it clear that concrete steps would be taken for promotion of quality education in the province.
He said that the issues being confronted by the universities can easily be overcome with recommendations of concerned experts and making all responsible persons efficient at the universities level.
