QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shaoib Nausherwani has categorically stated that Balochistan is blessed with natural resources as there exist vast reservoirs of different minerals.
He regretfully pointed out that unfortunately, no proper attention was given on the mining sector in the past. If attention was paid on the mining sector in Balochistan with good intention, then it can prove to be game changer in time to come, maintained the Provincial Minister for Finance while speaking to a delegation of mine owners here on Friday.
The mine owners apprised the Minister Finance about their issues.
Secretary Mines and Mineral Development, Saidal Khan Luni and Director General Mines, Abdullah Khan were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Shoaib Nausherwani said that the provincial government is determined to resolve the issues being faced by masses under leadership of Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti.
He assured that the issues of people would be resolved at their doorstep.
He said that reforms would be brought about in the mining sector by mobilizing all available resources. The mining sector would be put on modern lines, adding he assured.
He said that the mining sector plays important role in prosperity and sustainable economic development of the province.
