HIKARPUR: An other horrible incident occured in Shikarpur city in which husband strangulated to death his wife over pretext of honor killing and buried her dead body without any kafan here on Wednesday in the jurisdiction of New Faujdari police station.
According to initial reports, one Murtaza Shah had took a shameful step and murdered his wife named Musamat Bakhtawar by strangulation her at Bhitai Muhalla here and buried her dead body near Sindh Wah without any Bath and last religious formalities there.
While receiving the such information, area police arrested the accused Murtaza Shah who admitted for murdering his wife Musamat Bakhtawar and buried her body in ditch near Sindh Wah Irrigation Canal.
On the directions of accused Murtaza Shah, the dead body of deceased was taken out from ditch which was sent to RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur for her autopsy.
The accused allegedly killed his wife Musamat Bakhtawar over pretext of Karo-Kari (Honour Killing), area police added.
The dead body of deceased woman Musamat Bakhtawar Shah seems some four to five years old, area police said.
Police had started it’s investigation into the matter and further waiting for postmartum report.
The mother of deceased woman Musamat Bakhtawar Shah allegedly said that the husband of her daughter, her father in law and brother in law were doing torture daily on her.
