New spell of rains in different districts: CM issues directives to Commissions, DCs & other concerned high up to remain alert

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has issued standing directives to all Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and other concerned high ups to remain fully alert in view of the new spell of rains in different districts of the province.
According to the spokesman, Government of Balochistan, Shahid Rind, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority has predicted new spell of rains with thunder storms in most parts of the province starting from April 16.
The PDMA has advised the general public to adopt preventive measures owing to the rain situation.
According to the PDMA high ups, the new spell of rains would remain continued till April 19, 2024 in districts of Gwadar, Kech, Panjgur, Lasbela, Hub, Khuzdar, Sorab, Kalat, Awaran, Kharan, Washuk, Mastung, Naseerabad, Noshki, Chaghai, Quetta, Pishin, Harnai, Loralai, Killa Saifullah, Shirani, Zhob, Ziarat, Duki, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Sibi, Jhal Magsi and their adjoining areas.
Moreover, PDMA has also advised not to stay in the poor conditioned houses besides taking care of the children, elderly and elderly persons.
The drivers have been advised to use fog lights and avoid overspending while traveling on the highways.
The general public has been advised to keep the solar plates safe from the heavy rains and hailstorms.
They have also been asked to avoid visiting the dams and stay away from the deep waters.
Similarly, the people should also avoid using mobile phones during lightning, it was advised further.
According to the spokesman of provincial government, all concerned departments have been directed to take safety measures in view of the expected rains.
The Chief Minister has also directed to all Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to keep vigil on the situation following rains in their respective areas.
