Rehabilitation & expansion of Qadeem Eidgah Gwadar completed in 4 months

QUETTA: The project of rehabilitation and expansion of the Qadeem (ancient) Eidgah of Gwadar has been completed under the GDA Old Town Rehabilitation Project in short span of four months.
With completion of the project, all necessary arrangements have been made to offer Eidul Fitr prayer at the Eidgah.
It may be mentioned here that the work on different projects had been started under the GDA Old Town Rehabilitation Project four months back in December last year on directives of the Director General GDA, Dawood Khan Khilji.
These projects were included the reconstruction and expansion of the Qadeem Eidgah of Gwadar, which was completed working on it at fast pace.
Needless to mention here is that the old Eidgah of Gwadar city had historical significance, which was in dilapidated condition.
The GDA decided to reconstruct and expand the Eidgah. The project includes the boundary wall, doors, marble floor, sound system, drain line, water and electricity line, place of ablution in the Eidgah besides its renovation and repair.
The total area of Eidgah is 78,000 square feet where around 10,000 faithfuls can offer prayer simultaneously.
