Balochistan lawyers’ organizations reject Govt’s commission on IHC judges letter issue

QUETTA: The Balochistan lawyers’ organizations have rejected the commission formed by the federal government about the issue of letter written by the judges of Islamabad High Court.
A joint meeting of the lawyers organizations was held under presidentship of member of Pakistan Bar Council, Munir Ahmed Kakar here on Saturday.
The lawyers organizations vehemently rejected the government’s commission with consensus.
According to a press release issued in this regard, the commission formed led by any retired judge is unacceptable.
It was demanded that full court should hear matter after taking suomoto notice.
It was vowed that the lawyers of province would not let affected the independence of judiciary.
Moreover, the joint meeting of the lawyers organizations was convened on April 2, 2024.
The future course of action would be decided in the next meeting of lawyers.
