Swat:- Faheem Naeem was elected as President while Ubaidullah as General Secretary of District Bar Association (DBA) Swat during the Annual Election 2024-25, here on Saturday.
According to election results, Faheem Naeem was elected as DBA President with 121 votes while his rivals Saeed khan, Syed Jahanzeb and Malak Sarwar Khan could grab 110, 112 and 112 votes respectively.
Similarly, Ashraf Khan was elected as Vice President with 278 votes whereas his rival Sajid Ali could get 170 votes respectively.
Meanwhile, Ubaidullah was elected as General Secretary with 157 votes while his rivals Shabbir Ahmad and Zarawar could bag 143 and 149 votes respectively.
Three candidates were in the run for Joint Secretary-ship but Huzaifa was elected as Joint Secretary with 228 votes while three candidates were in the run for Finance Secretary-ship but Essa Khan was elected as Finance Secretary with 174 votes while her opponent Karishma khan and Izhar Khan could grab 129 and 148 votes. Sanam Faryal elected as a Library secretary unopposed.
The police made tight security arrangements for the election by deputing large number of police personnel’s in and around DBA premises.
