Swat:- Newly appointed District Police Officer Dr Zahidullah Khan has taken charge. Newly appointed DPO Swat Dr Zahidullah Khan was saluted by the armed squad of police on his arrival in DPO office.
SP Lower Swat Ghulam Sadiq khan, SP Traffic Habibullah Khan, DSP Headquarters and other officers welcomed the newly appointed DPO.
After assuming charge of his post, the District Police Officer held an introductory meeting with the SDPOs and SHOs of the circle.
Addressing the introductory meeting, the DPO Swat said that he believes in community policing, adopt a polite attitude towards the public and protect their lives and property. All available resources should be used to protect honor and dignity. He maintains that police should respect the general public who come to the offices and police stations, treat them with good manners and politeness, timely redressal of public complaints and provide full legal support to the citizens who come to the police station.
He strictly instructed all the officers to conduct security audits of the places of worship of the minority community and make effective security arrangements for the Chinese and Foreigners.
The district police chief directed to all SHOs on priority basis action against street crime, theft and robbery prevention, drug dealers, criminals and timber smuggling and other criminal elements. He also gave strict instructions to the investigation officers to ensure investigation on merit in murder and attempted murder and other serious cases. Judgment on merits will be ensured, he added.
On this occasion, he directed to deploy women policemen along with the police force in busy markets before Eid and to conduct an awareness campaign to avoid aerial firing on Chand raat.
