15th March as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.

Assalam Alykum,

In the beginning, I would like to express my congratulatory message on the occasion of the Spiritual month of Ramadan & pray that the spirit of this holy month bring you closer to Almighty Allah.

I also would like to appreciate the organizers of this conference, which is conducted on the topic of one of the most important issues in the world, I mean the 15th March as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.
We are extremely grateful to the countries that, proposed to name this day in the United Nations General Assembly for the protection of the merciful face of Islam on behalf of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. You know that Iran and Pakistan were among the founders and put a lot of efforts in drafting and approving this resolution. The resolution was presented by Islamic countries and in particular led by 5 countries including Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Indonesia in the negotiations to show their strong determination to combat the Islamophobia.

Now, it seems that there is a need to take coordinated measures at the national, regional and international levels, especially in the Islamic countries, to combat this unfortunate phenomenon.
Unluckily, the actions of some terrorist and extremist groups in the name of Islam have tarnished the merciful face of Islam and increased the wave of Islamophobia in the world.
As a matter of fact, Islamophobia is a form of creating a negative mental image by the western media towards the religion of Islam. Today, we are witnessing how the western media has been able to make the arrogant system of the westerners & United States of America, to being look pure and innocent in their anti-human acts. The issue of Gaza and the crimes committed against Palestinians can be a clear example of this type of distortion of reality by the Western media against Muslims.

As a result of the impact of western media, we are witnessing that the Zionist and imperialist conspiracy through provocative actions such as sacrilegious desecration of the holy Quran, disrespecting our Prophet, and contempt of the religious values of two billion Muslim people under the pretext of “freedom of expression” has become an ordinary issue.
There is no doubt that this virulent phenomenon causes the escalation of tension, hatred, Islamophobia and violence against the Muslims. However, it is a threat for the international peace and security and human rights and a threat to the peaceful relations between the nations, coexistence and conciliatory symbiosis in the planet.
While expressing concern about the acts of violence, extremism and terrorism, especially in the name of religion, we condemn desecration of the religious values and provoking the feelings of the followers of Islam under the pretext of freedom of expression.
The Islamic world, calls on the international community to avoid standing indifferent, and to combat sacrilegious acts of the desecration of the Islamic beliefs and values including desecration of our first qibla, Masjid Al-Aqsa.

In conclusion, while thanking again the respected speakers and organizers, we pray for the victory of the oppressed people of Gaza and Palestine and we pray the almighty God to help us in protecting the gentle face of Islam.والسلام علیکم و رحمت الله
