SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur Police claimed for killing of one dacoit and other injured in police encounter took place between the outlaws and police in the limit of Khanpur police station on Friday.
According to Press Release issued from SSP Office Shikarpur that Some group of two armed men tried to looting the vehicles on Khanpur-Shikarpur Indus road near Lakra Hotel, while receiving the information, Police immediately responded and managed encounter with the dacoits.
As a exchange of firings, one dacoit identified as Ali Bux alias Alloo son of Mohib Jatoi was killed on the spot. While his other gangster named Saeen Bux son of Illahi Bux Jatoi received serious injured.
The killed dacoit and injured sent to Taluka Hospital Khanpur for Medico Legal formalities and later the injured was sent to RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur for Medical treatment.
The criminal records of killed and injured dacoits are being collected from police stations, police claimed.
SSP Shikarpur Dr Muhammad Imran Khan appreciated the police officials who took part in police encounter and award them recognizance certificates and cash.
