Govt. jobs not permanent solution to issue of unemployment:

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated that mere government jobs are not sustainable solution to the issue of unemployment and, adding announced to create alternative means of livelihood in different private sector.
He asserted that government job is not hereditary distribution, and as such there is a need to correct the concept in this regard.
He went on to say that he is ready to take every kind of political pressure for improving governance in the province.
the Chief Minister was chairing a review meeting of the Finance and Planning & Development departments here on Wednesday.
The Additional Chief Secretary Planning & Development, Abdul Saboor Kakar, Secretary Finance, Babar Khan and Secretary Planning Lal Jan Jaffar briefed the Chief Minister about their respective departments.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister directed to reduce the volume of non-development expenditures besides improving and making the service delivery system effective.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti also directed to prepare annual development programme remaining in the financial resources.
Moreover, it is also necessary to make effective implementation on the accountability of all the concerned and making them answerable, he maintained.
He noted with concern that billions of rupees are being spent on health and education sectors, however, it’s outcome is not satisfactory. He also said that the absence of medical and teaching staff at their duty places is intolerable at all.
He stressed the need to launch skills development programme in addition to the traditional education in educational institutions.
Moreover, there is also a need to increase professional capacity of the manpower in the government departments, adding he stressed.
The Chief Minister strongly believed that the fruits of development and government’s initiatives much reach to the general public.
He said that the implementation would be ensured on the reports and recommendations of Chief Minister Inspection Team (CMIT) in order to bring improvement in the government affairs.
