Malik Abdul Wali Kakar says every conscious person bound to honour every mother language like his own

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has underlined the need to promote harmony and acclimatization among different languages and civilizations in the present global village.
He emphasized that every conscious person has to honour every mother language of the world as he does his own mother tongue.
In a message issued here on occasion of International Mother Language Day observed on Wednesday, the Governor said that the basic objective behind observance of the International Mother Language Day is to promote multilinguists and awareness about linguistic and cultural diversity.
It may be mentioned here that the theme for International Mother Language Day 2024 is “Multilingual education is a pillar of intergenerational learning”.
He said that every mother tongue is not only recognition of any nation, but also spirit of any native culture.
The Governor said that mother language is an effective source of mutual contact and coordination along with the source of expression. In addition to this, mother language is also long continuance of transferring heritage from one generation to the other, he maintained.
Malik Abdul Wali Kakar said that the United Nations charter and Constitution of Pakistan 1973 are guarantor of the protection and promotion of mother languages, as such there is a dire need to promote concordance and coherence among different languages and civilizations.
In this regard, it is also necessary that our intelligentsia and literary figures should get the precious literary and scientific material of the world’s developed languages translated in their respective mother languages.
