Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad’s one-year progress in the Department of Minerals

Lahore  :: Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad in a statement about the significant steps taken in the Department of Minerals during his one-year tenure said that an increase of more than two billion was made possible by obtaining 14.17 billion instead of 12 billion. District mining and management committees formed, illegal commissions stopped and new areas identified, references made in past corruption cases of Rs 65 crore, contracts awarded to 40 large mines were terminated. A road map of R150 billion created, recovery notices issued to PMDC and cement factories, online inspection and monitoring system launched, e-tendering and e-auction launched for transparency, 94 old posts vanished, 15% accident and 20% reduction in deaths, pressure gold blocks established, online GIS system launched, first mining investment forum hold in the history of Punjab, the emergency rescue response time brought down from eight minutes to four minutes and the death grant of mine’s labor increased from 200,000 to 400,000.
