PESHAWAR – Notification of postponement of elections in 3 constituencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been issued due to the death of candidates.Due to the postponement of the elections, a notification was issued.According to the details, due to the murder of independent candidate Rehan Zaib Khan in NA-8 and PK-22 Bajaur and the death of ANP’s Asmatullah Khattak in PK-91 Kohat, the notification was issued to postponed the elections.It has been reported that the Returning Officer has issued a formal announcement of the cancellation of the election because under Clause 73 of the Election Act, the election is postponed due to the death of the candidate after the issue of election marks.It is learned that 13 candidates including Asmatullah Khattak were participating from PK-91 Kohat and former senator Abbas Afridi is also a candidate from PK-91,died due to falls, he was an ANP aspirant from PK-91 Kohat. On the other hand, Rehan Zaib Khan, an activist of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and contesting as an independent candidate from NA-8 and PK-22 Bajaur. Killed, police sources say that Rehan Zaib Khan was shot by unknown persons near Siddiqabad, as a result of the firing, Rehan Zaib Khan was seriously injured, Rehan Zaib Khan was shifted to the hospital in critical condition.However,he died.
