CM PUNJAB CHAIRS PIC BOARD MEETING

LAHORE, : Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has disclosed plans to establish a cutting-edge lab near the main entrance of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), while chairing a meeting of PIC’s board of directors, and emphasized the need to expedite actionable measures to address the shortage of surgeons.
Provincial ministers Dr Javed Akram, Amir Mir, Bilal Afzal, Dr Jamal Nasir, chief secretary, chairman P&D, finance & health secretaries, CCPO, commissioner Lahore, PIC’s BoD chairman and members attended the meeting.
The CM thanked the team members for their round-the-clock efforts as the task was impossible in a short span of six weeks. He announced to improve FOPIC’s emergency adding that the staying facility was also being built in collaboration with the federal minister Gohar Ijaz and FOPIC. The CM also sought actionable recommendations for addressing delays in bypass operations.
The BoD members, including Ahsan Rasheed, praised CM Naqvi in glowing terms for his exceptional efforts and commitment to upgrading the emergency services within a record period of six weeks.
