Papers of 80 candidates scrutinized for reserved seats

QUETTA: The process of scrutiny of the nomination papers of the candidates for general elections is continued in all districts of the Balochistan province.
According to the Provincial Election Commissioner, Ejaz Anwar Chohan, it was the fourth day of the scrutiny of nomination papers of the candidates contesting elections on different seats of provincial and National Assemblies in the province.
The Returning Officers are conducting the scrutiny of papers in their respective districts.
The PEC told that the candidates are appearing in front of the Returning Officers during the process of scrutiny.
Similarly, the scrutiny of papers of candidates contesting elections on the reserved seats in the office of PEC.
At the outset, scrutiny of a total of 80 nomination papers for the reserved seats has been completed.
The PEC further informed that the process of scrutiny of nomination papers would remain continued till December 30, 2023.
Meanwhile, the process training of polling staff is also continued for the general elections 2024.
In first phase, training being imparted to the polling and Assistant presiding officers, the PEC Ejaz Chohan added.
