QUETTA: The caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai has asserted that we have demanded of Afghanistan time and again to hand over terrorists to Pakistan, as the sanctuaries of terrorism in Afghanistan are constant threat for our country.
He said that the security concerns have been increased in Pakistan after eviction of United States army from Afghanistan and resultantly the Afghan Taliban’s rule there.
If the backing of terrorists remained continued then it would sink Afghanistan.
We have expelled the illegal immigrants affecting the national stability and economy of the country in response to the terrorists’ attacks by the TTP.
This and similar other views were expressed and details shared by the caretaker Minister Information while addressing a hurriedly called press conference here at Quetta press club on Saturday.
The caretaker Minister said that Pakistan has provided evidences of terrorism in the country to Afghan government at the Foreign office level, but despite this, double game is being played. He said that the weapons are being provided to the terrorists where there are sanctuaries of terrorism in Afghanistan. The Afghan Taliban commanders are also helping them, adding he alleged.
He pointed out that a citizen of Helmand area of Afghanistan was involved in the incidents of Karak and Tank, whose brother was a big commander of Afghan Taliban in Kandhar.
Jan Achakzai said that if any foreign national or immigrant took part in the election campaign and made attempt to cast fake vote in the elections, then they would be given worst punishment.
He informed that some 1,70,000 computerized national identity cards have been blocked pointing out the fake ones in Balochistan.
Referring the APS Peshawar tragedy, Jan Achakzai said that we had lost some 150 precious lives in the tragic incident occurred nine years ago.
He said that the memory of APS Peshawar tragedy is still in heart of every patriotic citizen. He recalled that the civil and military leadership had prepared National Action Plan following the APS Peshawar tragedy, and then launched Zarb-e-Azb and Raddul Fisad operations under the NAP, which were aimed at eliminating terrorism from the country and make the country and nation safe.
He said that the international community had supported Pakistan in the war against terrorism, which otherwise claimed lives of over 70,000 people.
Despite the huge human and financial losses, Pakistan is determined to end terrorism, he vowed.
