SAP Pakistan and Bidari Sialkot jointly organized Provincial Conference on Local Government System

SAP Pakistan and Bedari Sialkot jointly organized a Provincial Conference on Local Government System. Representatives of various political parties participated in the conference. Among them were Uzma Kardar from Muslim League-N, Anila Mahmood from Jamaat-e-Islami, Sadia Sohail from Isthakam Pakistan Party, etc., while Professor Dr. Amjad Magsi from Punjab University, Local government Expert Salman Abid, Deputy Director SAP Irfan Mufti also participated.
In the conference, the importance of local government system and transparent strategy in Punjab province was highlighted, while Tahseen Javed, executive director of SAP Pakistan, highlighted the aims and objectives of the conference.
In the conference, various suggestions were presented regarding making the local government system ideal in Punjab, the majority was of the opinion that the local government system can grow due to the political and democratic system. A panel discussion was also organized in the conference in which Sabahat Rizvi Secretary Lahore High Court Bar Association, Raheel Kamran Cheema Member Punjab Bar Council specially participated. In the conference, local government expert Salman Abid said that unfortunately, the local system has been suffering from slowness for 23 years. Under Article 32, the responsibility of political parties increases, but they all have to create a road map together. Prof. Dr. Amjad Magsi of Punjab University said that local government diploma is being given to the youth in Punjab University. The system of local governments is the basis of the parliamentary system. The youth will have to hand over the responsibilities of the local governments. Ex-Director Local Nizam Academy Najeeb Aslam said that the local government will be strengthened only through the youth. The best local system is running all over the world. Irfan Mufti, Deputy Director SAP-Pk, President Bidari Arshad Mehmood Mirza, while participating in the panel discussion, emphasized that all the parties should emphasize local elections in their manifestos in the general elections.
