19 outlaws including 07 professional beggars arrested; drugs and weapon recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 19 outlaws including 07 professional baggers from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.

 

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

 

Following these directions, the Kohsar police team arrested and accused Sani Mubarak and recovered 20 liters of alcohol from his possession. The Shalimar police team arrested an accused namely Mehmood Akhtar and recovered 100 gram heroin from his possession. The Smubal police team arrested an accused namely Abdullah Aslam and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.

 

Furthermore, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Bilal Khan and Rehmat Khan and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. The Sabzi Mandi Police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Faizan and Shehroz and recovered one 30 bore pistol and 620 gram hashish from their possession. The Humak police team arrested two accused Saad Imtiaz and Muhammad Jabber and recovered 60 liters of alcohol from their possession.

 

Further-more Bhara Kahu police team arrested an accused namely Habib Ur Rehman and recovered 300 gram hashish from his possession. The Nilore police arrested two accused namely Jamra Ali Khan and Naseer and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession.

 

Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.

 

During the ongoing crackdown against professional beggars, the Islamabad Capital Police arrested 07 professional baggers and registered cases against them under the beggar act.

 

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
