Training skills being imparted to 20,000 youth:

QUETTA: The caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has stated that it is responsibility of the state to provide livelihood opportunities to the people, but still each and every youngster can’t be provided government job just because of the limited employments in the public sector.
The Chief Minister was speaking to a representative delegation of the Overseas Employment Promotors Association who called on him here on Friday.
The Chairman of Association, Asad Kayani led the delegation. Also present in the meeting were caretaker Provincial Minister for Finance and Revenue, Amjad Rasheed, and other concerned high ups.
The Chief Minister said that the training skills are being imparted to some 20,000 youth in different sectors under the Prime Minister Youth Skills Programme.
He mentioned that the youth whom training is being imparted are also included 7,000 women. He was confident that these skilled youth would be employed in different sectors once complete the phase of training.
He said that there are very limited number of jobs in the government sectors, and as such every individual can’t be provided job in the public sector.
He said that it is responsibility of the state to provide opportunities of livelihood to the people, but the livelihood means not mere government job.
He said that there is a demand of skilled persons in the national and international market, therefore, we are imparting training to the youth in different sectors.
He mentioned that some 20,000 youngsters have got admissions for training in different courses in the province.
The caretaker Minister Finance on the occasion informed that the quota of jawans of Balochistan has been increased to 10,000 from 4,000 in NEVTEC. The quota of youngsters would be increased to 20,000 further, he added.
