QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has stressed that the establishment of border markets and promotion of trade activities is need of the hour and it can help resolve the issues of local people of Chaman besides contributing in the rehabilitation of the country’s economy.
The Governor was speaking to a representative delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Chaman on Wednesday.
During the course of meeting, the issues being faced by the local traders were discussed.
In addition to this, there was also discussion on the new opportunities of livelihood and business in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor said that the social and financial conditions of the people living across the border are similar.
He said that the traders community had also been affected due to the situation emerged during the COVID outbreak in the province.
In view of the prevailing circumstances and situation of poverty, unemployment and backwardness, the Governor said that the economic and trade activities would be promoted and strengthened by promoting border trade.
