Poultry Act will be mandatory for all poultry premises across the Punjab

Lahore The provincial Minister Livestock Ibrahim Hassan Murad has said that the Poultry Act will be mandatory for all poultry

premises across the Punjab while for this purpose, there will be a meeting with PPA, as The PRI will play an active
role in this regard as a regulator. He expressed these views while chairing a meeting regarding Development of Poultry Sector in his camp office on Wednesday. The provincial Minister said that
There will be advertisement in print, electronic and social media in this regard while the PRI will work on indigenous breeds of poultry for meat and eggs. He further said that the PRI will work to explore the potential of new breeds developed in the field. PRI will also work for Strengthening of private entrepreneurship in Backyard Poultry while the reliable database will be developed for poultry
supply chain.
Additional secretary Livestock, DG PRI and other related persones were present in the meeting.
