QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Walk Khan Kakar has stated that women of the province are second to none in their capabilities and talent, what’s needed is to provide them the better opportunities and necessary facilities to them so that they may excel in their respective fields.
He said that the women are guarantor of the bright future of nation, and it can’t progress by confining them in the four walls of their homes and keeping them indolent.
The Governor was addressing the first Balochistan women summit organized by the Provincial Information Department in collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund here at the Governor House on Tuesday.
The women summit was aimed at strengthening womenfolk by recognizing their invaluable services and role in different sectors.
The caretaker Provincial Minister Information, Jan Achakzai, Minister Home, Zubair Jamali, Minister women development and social welfare, Ms. Shania Khan, Vice Chancellor of University of Balochistan, Professor Dr. Shafiqur Rehman, acting VC Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, Dr. Zainab, head of PPAF, Nadir Gul Baraich, former speaker, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Chairman Balochistan Rural Support Programme, Malik Anwar Kasi, besides other personalities from different walks of life, representatives of civil society and other concerned high ups.
The Governor appreciated the women summit organized to recognize their services and ensure respectable status for them in the society.
